When Life Keeps Moving, Even When You Don’t Feel Ready

It’s been a little while since I’ve sat down to write like this. Life has not slowed down just because I asked it nicely. It has been moving at full speed, while I’ve been trying to remember where I put my coffee, my confidence, and the last ounce of energy that somehow evaporated when I wasn’t looking.

Sometimes, life feels like a series of tiny alarms going off all day long. Things that need attention. Things that require decisions. Things you thought would get easier by now… but still make you whisper “Lord, help me” under your breath three times a day.

But here’s the surprising thing: even in the middle of the whirlwind, there is a kind of peace that comes from knowing God has not gone anywhere. He has been here the whole time — steady, patient, and not at all concerned that you still haven’t folded the laundry.

There is a verse in Scripture that keeps coming back to me lately:

“My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.”

— 2 Corinthians 12:9

Weakness is something we try to hide. We stuff it under accomplishments, routine, and a smile we hope looks convincing. We think that if we admit we are overwhelmed, tired, or unsure, it must mean our faith is failing.

But what if weakness is where faith actually becomes real?

What if the undone to-do list isn’t a sign of failure, but a reminder that God never asked us to do all of this alone?

These past few weeks have stretched me in ways I didn’t expect. There have been moments of joy, laughter, and answered prayer — and moments where I wondered if anyone noticed how hard I was trying just to stay afloat.

But God noticed. And He is not checking a scoreboard. He is holding me steady.

So if you’re reading this and thinking, “Same. That’s exactly how I feel…”

I want you to know you’re not falling behind. You’re not late to your own life. You’re not disappointing God.

You’re growing. You’re learning. You’re being carried more than you realize.

You haven’t missed your moment. You’re in it.

Right here. Right now.

One breath at a time. One prayer at a time. One tiny act of faith in a God who never lets go.

I’m glad to be here again — writing, processing, and remembering that God is still writing the rest of this story.

And so are you.
